We are different than the other ebook publishing companies. First, we don't sell ebooks, and our priority is not to make profit. Secondly, we don't charge the writers to post their ebooks here. We are even different than the other libraries because we can be reached by anyone across the globe and you don't need to be a member to read or download books.
Our mission is to provide a medium for all writers (known, unknown, famous, infamous, etc.) from anywhere to publish their writings in any language. We will help amateur and young writers to be published, have visibility, and become recognized. Simultaneously, we provide a medium for all book lovers to read books that they otherwise never would have had access to, for free. We also would like to provide a site where writers and readers can communicate, share ideas, and interact in a way never before imagined.
We hope that you also care about our mission. We are extremely eager to know what your opinion is about us and our mission. Please let us know how we can improve the way we serve you.
What Others Say About Us
Great site! I just read two of the online books, Darkling and Prototype, both of these books are better than the last ten books I have purchased!!! Keep up the great work of publishing these great works! I would like to be able to keep up with the careers of these authors and to find more of thier work.

Hey there. Just wanted to send along a great big thank you for the way you handled my book. The cover is simple yet catchy and you did something that not a lot of other publishers do; you left my work intact! Again, thanks for the awesome treatment and keep up the good work. People just don't know what they're missing there at independentbook.com!

i live in iran and i love reading. here in iran we have no access to international credit card, and i can not download books (even if it cost one dollar!) and i appreciate your trouble to put free ebooks on the net. thank you.

Just want to thank you for supporting me and my work. I've had such a rough time getting e-publishers to consider my stuff, because it's so off the wall. I'm not trying to write the great American novel, (duh), and most people want sci-fi or romance or political intrigue stuff. While I think that kind of reading is good, I feel there's too much of it around, and we need more unique writing out there. Just call me the Ed Wood of writing, because I'm not the best, that's for sure. But I thank you for giving me a chance, because it makes me feel good about what I'm doing. Keep up the great work!

Just a note to say thanks for creating an e-book version of the Stone of Pithan. I was extremely surprised (pleasantly) at how quickly it made it onto your site. My friends think that the cover design is simple yet cool!!! I have been going around telling everyone that I am an e-published author.
